Services

We recognize that securing appropriate services for your child can be a daunting process full of what can seem like insurmountable hurdles. We can walk you through the process every step of the way and help you to get over the hurdles standing in your way to maximize the outcome for your child.

We offer the full range of special education representation, from consultation, IEP advocacy, Due Process, and federal court litigation.

Special Education: The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (“IDEA”) requires public schools to provide qualifying students with disabilities a Free Appropriate Public Education (“FAPE”) through an Individualized Education Program (“IEP”) that addresses the student’s unique needs and is reasonably calculated to provide an educational benefit.  We work to ensure you maximize your access to the rights and services provided under the IDEA.
Some of the services our office provides include:
  • Requesting, reviewing, and analyzing school records
  • Case planning and analysis
  • Representation and advocacy at IEP meetings
  • Representation and advocacy at Manifestation Determination Review (“MDR”) meetings
  • Securing related services, such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, counseling/behavioral services, and other needed services
  • Securing Independent Educational Evaluations (“IEE”s)
  • Filing due process complaints
  • Filing compliance complaints
  • Representation at informal resolution meetings and mediations
  • Representation at due process hearings

**Even if your child does not qualify for an IEP, he/she may be eligible for accommodations and FAPE under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.  Our office can represent you in all aspects of obtaining protections and services under Section 504, including attendance at school meetings, hearings, and court litigation.
